Registration is now active for the Northern California Program. The 200-hour Into This World Yoga Teacher Training will be offered in our new location in Rohnert Park from October 2008-May 2009 (one weekend per month).

The 200-hour Long Island Program beginning in October 2008 is full. 

We are accepting a short waiting list.  Those on the waiting list will have the first opportunity to register for the 2009-1010 Long Island Program.

Registration for all Fall 2008 Advanced Trainings for Yoga Teachers on Long Island is active.  All trainings count toward our 500-hour program.

Into This World Yoga Teacher Training is a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance.  The eight month, 350-hour program consists of one weekend intensive per month (186 on-site contact hours) and at home assignments over the eight months. Students will be a mix of those preparing to teach for the first time, those already teaching who would like to further their education, and those who would like to deepen their own yoga practice.  Most students come from Nassau and Suffolk counties.  We are happy to help with area information for those coming from out of town.  Applications are accepted from people who have had a regular, committed yoga practice for at least one year.

This program will give you a solid foundation for safely teaching yoga to beginning and intermediate students, and delivering the full experience of yoga to your students.  In addition, each student will also have an ongoing term project that will prepare them to adapt yoga classes for a population of their choice (i.e. children, teens, seniors, athletes etc.).

About the Instructor

Suzanne Cardinal, ERYT-500 is the founder of Into This World Productions. She holds an MA degree in Arts and Consciousness from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, CA where she specialized in Creativity Theory and the Creative Process. She is a Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher who has had a personal yoga practice for over 20 years. She is registered at the 500-hour level with the Yoga Alliance. She has completed additional teacher training certifications in Kripalu DansKinetics, Meditation Techniques, Vinyasa Yoga, Partner Yoga, Cardiac Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. In addition, Suzanne is trained as a Labor Doula, Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Certified Massage therapist (CMT), and Advanced Bodywork Therapist (ABT) all of which inform her yoga teaching.  Among her most influential teachers are Stephen Cope, Shiva Rea, Edward Clark, and Ana Forrest.

There will also be professional guest lecturers such as doctors, chiropractors, business coaches, and other registered yoga teachers.

The Long Island Yoga Teacher Training has students from Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens. 

The Northern California Yoga Teacher Training is connecting with students from Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Healdsburg, Windsor, Sebastopol, Sonoma, and other areas of Sonoma County as well as Marin, Napa, and Mendocino Counties.

We are in the process of developing a 500-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training to meet Yoga Alliance standards.  This advanced training for yoga teachers consists of day long and weekend programs, many of which you can take in the order of your choosing.  You will take approximately 300 hours after your graduation from a registered 200-hour program.  Advanced Yoga Teacher Training will be offered on Long Island, New York and in Sonoma County, Northern California.  For more information email your name, address, and phone number.
